LG-supplied staged room/remote marketing composite associated with the exact LP0626PGF listing. The neighboring compact PGF model has a visually similar cabinet, so appearance does not establish capacity or suffix identity; the exact page asset association is the identity bridge. Photo-versus-render status is uncertain. LG
A useful fit for

A small room where the higher 6,000-BTU/h SACC tier is justified by the actual heat load and the buyer prefers a simple included remote over app controls.

The main tradeoff

The basic PGF model shares its advertised cooling class with the Wi-Fi PG-S variant, but offers no listed connected control. Its single exhaust hose and standard uncut 27–52-in window panel; the manual permits trimming below 27 without a post-cut minimum constrain placement; weight and cabinet dimensions remain unverified here.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the 6,000-BTU/h SACC tier meet your cooling minimum?

This model meets a 6,000-SACC minimum but not a 7,100-SACC requirement; its 10,000-BTU ASHRAE number is a different rating.

Is connected app control essential?

The exact LP0626PGF page lists a remote but not Wi-Fi/ThinQ; selecting app-required must remove it.

Will the documented standard uncut panel span cover your measured opening?

The uncut standard panel covers 27–52 inches. LG instructs trimming panel A for openings shorter than 27 inches but gives no post-cut minimum; a sub-27-inch cut fit is therefore not certified by this numeric matcher.

The LG LP0626PGF is the non-Wi-Fi 6,000-BTU SACC member of this compact 2026 family. LG also lists 10,000 BTU/h under the older ASHRAE method and estimates coverage up to 250 square feet. Use the SACC figure when comparing portable models; a larger ASHRAE number from another product page is not the same rating. The square-foot claim is LG's estimate, not an independent test of your particular room.

The middle option is about capacity, not connectivity

LG lists three modes (Cool, Dry and Fan), two fan speeds, an adjustable thermostat, remote, casters, an included window kit and an automatic evaporation system said to minimize draining. The page does not list ThinQ or Wi-Fi for the LP0626PGF. If you want a phone app, examine the separate LP0626PGSF rather than assuming that matching capacity, cabinet styling or a similar model number makes this base PGF connected. Conversely, if the remote and buttons are enough, there is no need to make app support a condition.

Compared with the LP0526PGF, the LP0626PGF steps up from 5,000 to 6,000 BTU/h SACC and from a 150- to 250-square-foot manufacturer estimate. It remains a single-hose, cooling-only product without a listed heat mode. The extra rating does not settle how a difficult room will perform: open plans, high ceilings, direct sun or poor insulation can overwhelm the assumptions behind a simple area estimate. If your use requires a hard minimum above 6,000 SACC, this model should fail that requirement rather than be promoted on its 10,000-BTU ASHRAE figure.

Installation details that can decide fit

Plan one hot-air exhaust route through a window or comparable opening. LG's shared LP0526/LP0626 family manual specifies an uncut standard sliding-window panel span of 27–52 inches. It also directs trimming panel A when the opening is shorter than 27 inches, without stating the post-cut minimum. Measure the opening where the panel will actually sit; a sub-27-inch cut fit still needs physical verification. The available span is only one fit condition: the cabinet has to be close enough to the opening for a short, gently routed hose, with room around its air inlets and outlet. The available product sources do not establish exact cabinet dimensions, weight or a hose maximum for this model; those limits should stay unknown until confirmed on exact model documentation.

The manual calls for a 120-volt grounded 15-amp receptacle, prohibits extension cords and multi-outlet adapters, and advises keeping the hose short and straight after setup. Check that the intended outlet is suitable before moving the appliance into place. Casters help on level flooring, but are not a stair-carry feature. LG's page makes a quiet-operation claim without a precise dBA figure. It cannot answer whether the in-room compressor will suit sleep or calls, and this review does not invent a sound measurement.

Water and filter care still need a place in the routine

The auto-evaporation description means the unit is designed to reduce routine draining; it is not evidence of a built-in lift pump or a no-drain promise in every condition. The family manual tells owners to empty the collection tank before moving the appliance or putting it away for long storage. The removable filter should be cleaned every two weeks and dried in shade. Keep the drain access reachable and leave room to take the filter out. A product intended for a window-adjacent spot still needs a maintenance path once the room is furnished.

Who should consider the LP0626PGF?

This model is a reasonable candidate when 6,000 BTU/h SACC is sufficient, the manual's standard window span matches the opening, and local panel/remote control meets the need. The finder should move it ahead of the LP0526 when the visitor selects a 6,000-SACC minimum, but reject it for a higher minimum, required heat, required Wi-Fi/app or a panel outside the documented uncut 27–52-inch range; the manual's separate trim instruction does not specify a final lower bound. A mandatory numerical CEER, sound or cabinet-fit threshold also cannot be cleared from the sources reviewed because those exact values are not established here.

Choose the less expensive-featured LP0526 only if 5,000 SACC and its smaller area claim are suitable; do not assume lower rating is automatically better for every room. Choose the LP0626PGSF if its published ThinQ scheduling, phone control and energy-use monitoring are worth having; its cooling ratings and area claim are the same, so a connected feature is not a capacity upgrade. Read the family comparison for the model-by-model control distinction. LG says the app-equipped model supports Alexa and Google voice control, but no network setup or cooling result was tested for this assessment.
