Product fit and comparison
Honeywell MO0CESWK7 vs MO08CESWK6: SACC, weight and setup
The Honeywell MO0CESWK7 and MO08CESWK6 are both discontinued single-hose portable air conditioners with Cool, Dry and Fan operation. Their similar product names and white/black styling do not make their ratings or fit interchangeable. The exact product pages mark both discontinued, so this is a comparison for identifying an existing unit or assessing a specific older offer—not proof of current availability.
Do not rank the MO0 by its larger ASHRAE headline
The MO08CESWK6 exact U.S. listing gives 9,100 BTU/h ASHRAE and 6,100 BTU/h SACC. The MO0CESWK7 page identifies 10,000 BTU/h ASHRAE, but contradicts itself on SACC: 6,500 in feature copy and 6,800 in the table. A separate Honeywell Store listing agrees with the latter figure, yet the conflict remains in the exact Air Comfort page. Leave MO0 capacity unknown for a hard DOE minimum; it should not be matched to a 6,000-SACC requirement. Both pages also contain stale or inconsistent room-size and dehumidification claims, so those figures should not drive room sizing or a moisture-removal threshold.
On listed weight, the difference is clearer: MO0 is 50.7 pounds and MO08 is 40.7 pounds. Both have casters, but neither is weightless to lift or maneuver over stairs. MO0’s product page lists three fan speeds; MO08’s exact model manual and feature bullet document High/Low, while its table conflicts. Thus MO0 offers an additional listed speed, but this is a control difference, not evidence of quieter or more effective cooling.
Check the real setup rather than model-family shorthand
The MO0 manual names MO0CESWK7 and specifies a 5.5-inch hose, 12–47-inch extension, no added hose extension, 31.5 inches of rear space and 20 inches at the top, front and sides. The MO08 manual names MO08CESWK6 and gives the same hose diameter and extension range but only 20 inches behind the cabinet. Their product pages advertise different window spans, but the manuals give panel-piece dimensions and allow trimming; neither source pair is enough to promise a clear-opening interval for an individual kit. Measure the actual opening and inspect the exact slider parts. Unknown panel endpoints should fail a required numeric-fit question, not be guessed from the other model.
Separate replacement-kit compatibility from the appliance's own fit
Honeywell's replacement complete-window-kit page lists MO0CESWS7, MO0CESWK7 and MO0CESWB7 as compatible MO-series models. That is useful when identifying an accessory for an existing unit, but it does not establish that a used appliance still has the right pieces, identify the finish, or supply product specifications for the WS7 and WB7 codes. The replacement-kit listing gives a 19.7–47.2-inch span; do not substitute that number for the specific MO0CESWK7 product-page claim or infer an opening range from the manual's cuttable panel-section lengths. Check the model label and the actual kit parts before treating a window opening as a fit.
Both models are cooling-only: neither is a heat-pump substitute for an HFS model. Both manuals describe automatic evaporation during cooling while warning that a water tank can still need manual emptying in humid conditions. Continuous gravity drainage is an option for Dry/dehumidifying mode using a hose that is not included; neither model’s sources establish a built-in lift pump. They therefore do not suit a required upward condensate discharge. MO0’s listed cabinet is 14.6 × 13.5 × 27.7 inches; MO08 is 14.6 × 13.5 × 27.2 inches. Those measurements do not include the required working clearances or hose bend.
Decision
For an existing MO08, its 6,100-SACC page rating and lower listed weight are more useful evidence than the MO0’s conflicting SACC claims. For an existing MO0, the 10,000-ASHRAE headline, three listed fan speeds and larger mass may help identify it, but not establish a DOE cooling tier or a 450-square-foot result. If shopping for a currently listed alternative, compare an exact model such as LG LP0525WFR only as a lower-capacity current-reference option (5,100 SACC, 38.8 pounds); check current availability and its own installation requirements. In every case, exact model, label, window kit, condition and serial-specific support matter more than the shared brand name.
